I started my work with Dar a Luz in the summer of 2021, and over the past 4 years I've witnessed this group of incredible women dedicate themselves to our clients and their families. Through evidence-based and dignified care, they have given me hope in the medical world, that we are all more than just a number.
Throughout my time here, I've been able to observe supportive connections built between our staff and clients. At work I get hear laughter, newborn cries and people connecting with stories, experiences and joy. Although my job here at Dar a Luz centers on back-end administration and IT, I see everyone. I see the complex coordination of care, the dedication, I see the midwives and nurses who have pulled all-nighters for a birth when I come in the office in the morning. Every person here at Dar a Luz truly cares about our clients, and to me that's what makes me believe in this place.
Dar a Luz is something special and I'm so thankful I've been able to be a small part of it.
