In 2016, as soon as I was married my husband and I took the orientation class so we could get care there sat DAL if/when we decided to have a baby. In the meantime I starte getting my well women’s care at the center and never felt more taken care of. Fast forward a few years of infertility and a miscarriage later we were pregnant again. I welcomed my sweet son in evening star (small room) on a busy Father’s Day morning-baby #883. We chose not to peruse fertility care again and decided if I happened to get pregnant naturally great and if not having one child was perfect for our family. Welp 9 months later, at the start of Covid, we found out we were pregnant. Our daughter was born after a quick labor in morning song (big room) baby #1117. Dar a Luz has changed who I am. It has healed me, loved me, encouraged me. It has given me a place to grow into the mother I am meant to be and given me guidance along the way.
After my daughter’s birth and being a pediatric and neonatal nurse for 10 years I decided to peruse birth work with the hope of working at DAL. For the last 1.5years I have worked my dream job along some of the most courageous, smart, and kind women. Words can’t even express the love and respect we share for each other and our clients. I’m so lucky this place exists and that I get to be a part of it all.
